Greetings, and hopefully a Happy Civil New Year to all! Sympathies to my American friends who are experiencing a colder than usual winter on their East Coast, and my apologies to all for vanishing for so long, but as many of you know from experience, the last months of the year are filled with various holiday celebrations and their attendant gatherings.

And now, off to my in-box.

Happy New Year! I just discovered your blog here and I have read so much that makes me so happy! I love that Scourge is already in the works and I was shocked and excited to hear that you have another trilogy planned out! I just finished re-reading Crown before I read Blade because it has been so long since it came out and was wondering if I should just wait until the third one comes out since I am a slower reader (1.5 to 2 min a page). But knowing that the next book is well on the way means I can crack the second one out of the pre-order bag and get started tomorrow! I may never be able to pronounce most of the place names right (and even some character names) but that doesn't stop me from getting lost in the books for hours at a time. All seven books in the series have been so amazingly well-written (in fact, when I restarted Blade, it reminded me how beautiful and often poetic-feeling the writing style is), and I cannot wait to read Blade and Scourge! Not because I ever want it to end, but because I have become so attached to the characters that I need to know what happens! But I feel like I am rambling, so I will close with thanking you for the creation of this amazing world, and I look forward to immersing myself in it more!

I know it sounds like a silly cliché to say that readers like you make it all possible, but just think: if I wasn't writing the story intending for other people to read it--and knowing that they want to--why would I write it down? I might spin myself the tale, and even write down *bits* of it (because writing is fun), but I would never produce the whole thing. So...thank you for reading and commenting. Knowing that people are waiting for the next bit of the story makes me happy.
