Happy American Thanksgiving to All Who Celebrate

I see I posted this in entirely the wrong place and most of you won't have seen it. Ah well. Copypasta to the rescue.

A happy day to you all, and I hope it is spent with the family and friends you wish.

No further word on the Dragon Prophecy IX book, but I'm a third of the way through an English Civil War book and making good time. I don't actually expect to hear a peep out of Tor before February, but they could surprise me.

Happy New Year!

This is really off topic, but I was doing a reread of the original Obsidian Trilogy, and frustrated by the lack of a map was comparing it to the one from Crown of Vengence when it struck me that the bay/sound in the upper left corner of the map is very similar to Puget Sound. Curious, I compared it to Google maps of the western USA and I think it's a match with House Amrolion being LA, Graythunder Glairyrill being the Mississippi River, and Celephriandullias-Tildorangelor being somewhere in north/central Texas. Are all of these stories meant to occur in the real world at some point in the past?

Maps are hard to get right but so important for stories. Even Tolkien's and Robert Jordan's maps were strange. I think it's smart to choose existing geography.

Thanks for the pointers on where Armethalieh and Sentarshadeen are on the map. :) Am I right in thinking that all of the Obsidian series occurs west of the Bazrahil mountain range and south of House Aramenthiali?
