Do the western foothills of the Mystrals have a specific name in Kellen's time, or are they just "the foothills"? For those who have read CROWN OF VENGEANCE, I'm specifically interested in the terrain around the Vondaimieriel side of the Dragon's Gate Pass.

The only reference to a specific name I could find in a quick look was the "Gathering Plains", but I believed that, that name was only because that was where the army was at that point in time.

I have wondered for a while if the dragons gate pass is the same pass that Jermayan melted to allow the citizens of Lerkahlpholdara(sure I murdered that) to flee south. I would love to see a map showing the changes from the 3 series.

It would seem to me that if for whatever reason you cannot line up the geography or the titles of landmarks and locations as you might wish to in your writing simply explain it away. Even for the Elves the many thousands of years between CROWN and the Obsidian Trilogy is a very long time. Compounded with the fact that the Elves in the time of the Obsidian Trilogy have lost so much knowledge of anything Pre-Viel that it would be no great stretch that they have lost some landmarks as well. Indeed the geography in fact could be much different after some 10000 years anyway and certain places could no longer recognizably exist.

The passage that Jermayan melted was called the Gatekeeper.

The next book in the "Dragon Prophecy" series is Blade of Empire. It will be published by Tor Books on October 24, 2017.
