My It's Been A Long Time
I see from my posts that it has been a shockingly long time since I did anything like keep you in the loop. I blame this on the fact that March, April, and part of May were spent going in and out of the hospital, and the rest of May and much of June was spent packing to move.
None of these activities, you will note, leaves time or energy to write.
All of which is my craven and deeply apologetic way of explaining why the book isn't done. It's extremely annoying to be 80 pages from the end in April and still there in August.

Completely legitimate and hard to focus while those go on. Definitely keep us posted and heal! Big hug!

I wonder if there are any clips of that Witcher episode online? I admit I haven't seen the show, and all I know about it is that somebody isn't somebody else yet and Henry Cavill.

It's more or less the entirety of S3 Episode 7, I don't know about clips from the show but this video is decent overview of what happens: https://youtu.be/3mHmEb56n-Q?si=vlPPCTeU76vXNHcQ&t=211
The thing that stood out to me was the 2 full days in the desert with minimal to no water and basically no protection from the sun, which just seems like a death sentence to me. I guess there is magic involved so who knows but I definitely preferred the desert in your books.

Even if I am dying for the next book to come out, I don't want it to come out at the risk of your health. Hopefully everything is looking better.

Take care of you!

From its not-quite-humble beginnings, Jer-a-kaliel has expanded in all directions, most of all along the scope of its history. I'm definitely going to have to do a complete re-read going forward.

But, I wouldn't call this craven at all. You have to take care of yourself. :)
I've been working on a not very epic novel since 2020 (thanks to some encouragement you gave me here I might add). However, I think I haven't worked on it for about as long as you've been away from book 3 and I can't claim I was ill.
I can, however, say that my June-July were spent moving as well, and I'm still in the process of unpacking and settling in now, lol. But when you have as many school age kids as I've got you have A LOT of stuff. Hopefully you have less stuff than I and can get back to writing more quickly.

Good luck with getting back to your novel as soon as time permits.
So Much!

(Anonymous) 2023-11-20 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)If you're up for it, I do have a question - it was stated in the obsidian trilogy that Jermayan/Ancaladar (forgive my spelling, I read on audio!) were "dim" (or a similar word) and unable to do anymore magic. So how is it that Ancaladar was able to be transferred to Tiercel and have the full force of magic brought back? I've been wondering that for about a decade now! Excited to have found you here.
