Tor did not ask for a revision cycle, so I have done the copyedit (in which the CE wonders whether Vieliessar would actually LIE to anyone, and the author falls about laughing) and we're still on track for a May release.

How exactly did the knowledge of paired Bonding disappear/fall out of use as with Harrier and Tiercel? It seems that this capacity to extend a dragon’s life theoretically indefinitely would have removed one of the largest temptations the Endarkened had to corrupt mortals bonded to dragons. As an aspect of maintaining their existence as a species I feel like this would have been of real importance to the existing dragons to pass along to further generations?
I may well be forgetting, but my own 4 month old baby Kellen has definitely ruined my recall ability.

In the 14,000 years since Dragons came into the world a number of things have happened. It's important to remember that for a classical triple Bond (two Elves/humans, one Dragon) there has to be someone available and suitable (ie, a Lightborn or someone capable of being one) for the dragon to choose. When the last Elven Dragonmage died, all the bonds were Dragon/Lightborn. Lightborn spells cannot be written down or passed orally. All it would take would be a few missed connections for the Triple Bond itself, and then the knowledge of it, to disappear.

(And BTW, I think that Kellen is a wonderful name for a baby.)
