With the expected release date for Blade of Empire (a whole year and a half?! I don't want to wait that long...), is there any chance of getting an early release of the first chapter, or something like that? Or does the first chapter give away too much of what happens after the end of Crown of Vengeance?

I can talk to Tor (once I’ve turned the book in) about posting the first chapter of BLADE OF EMPIRE, but you’re quite right that it will be full of spoilers for everyone who hasn’t read CROWN OF VENGEANCE, so I’m not sure what they’ll decide. But that doesn’t mean I’m sending you away without any new material from the World of Obsidian. Here: have an outtake from Book One…
